The Model Acceptable Use policies are designed to cover a minimum consideration relating to acceptable use for staff and students in relation to data protection.
Though they can be used as standalone documents, we recommend that the content is cross-referenced, modified as per your unique circumstances and incorporated into your existing Acceptable Use Policy.

We have also added a model Bring Your Own Device Policy, setting out guidelines for schools looking to allow their staff to bring their own devices (BYOD) to access work systems. This could include laptops, tablets, smartphones or other personal devices not owned by the school.
